Explore the wide open spaces of California’s Burgundy…
We’ve discovered one of the quietest and most beautiful cycling spots in the Napa Valley – quiet, little traffic, small family-owned wineries. You will ride along vineyards with views of San Francisco Bay. Your guide will talk about local history and will help you understand the process of growing grapes and making wine. You cycle along quiet country lanes to visit small, family-owned wineries in this area reminiscent of Burgundy. You may have the opportunity to taste some of the pinot noir and chardonnay for which the Carneros region is famous, taste wine directly from the barrel, or try a new and unusual varietal such as syrah. The route is mostly flat, rolling along wide open spaces surrounded by lush green vineyards. Our lunch stop is at one of our favorite scenic wineries. While you taste wine, we’ll set up our famous Wine Country picnic lunch surrounded by vineyards. After lunch there may be an opportunity for a quick ride IN the vineyards amongst the vines. We will visit one or two more wineries, keeping an eye out for birds of prey. Our last stop is often at a sparkling winery modeled after a French chateau. After our final winery stop we head back to the haven of Moore’s Landing, arriving around 3:00pm. Here we bid you a fond farewell and thank you for riding with us!

There was no one else in our group, so our guide let us stay at the last stop for a long time past our scheduled end. It was very personal since he could cater to only our group. It was really a wonderful afternoon and exciting to see the vineyards by bike. Our guide, Tom, felt like our friend by the end of the day and we enjoyed having him in our group of girls. We love Ceja! Domaine Carneros was also wonderful. Etude was also a nice start to the day.
We loved the Variety in the wineries we visited, the routes we biked on and the picnic! Our tour guides were Tommy and Mike and they were absolutely fabulous we would recommend them to anyone traveling to the wine country!
