Calistoga Sip ‘N Cycle

We come together in Calistoga at 10:00am. This allows ample time to finish your B&B breakfast or make the drive up from virtually anywhere in the Northern California region. We then fit you to a Marin Hybrid bike along with a helmet, bag, and comfortable gel-seat. Your guide goes over the “Rules of the Road” as well as how to operate the bike.

We’re off at about 10:15am. Your guide will explain the sights and local wine facts and history as we travel the quiet country lanes to our first winery stop. After a tour of the grounds we taste the wine and then move along to our second winery where we are often able to enjoy a private barrel tasting. We cycle along easy and fairly flat roads to our third winery and our picnic spot.

Dining with Getaway is quite an event. Under shady oaks you will enjoy a wine country lunch, with a menu that typically includes: Pesto pasta salad, local organic salad greens, fresh baked bread, artisan cheeses, seasonal fruit, and dessert. It is a great stop with time to rest up and enjoy the views.

After our lunch we return to our bikes rested and recharged. We continue down the Silverado Trail. Our ride is framed by the Palisades Mountains on one side and the vines on the other as we head for our next winery. We call this winery the “Shrine to Wine” for its superb collection of art and antiquities, as well as intriguing architecture and excellent wines. After a tasting, we return to Calistoga, arriving around 3:30pm. Here we bid you farewell and thank you for riding with us!

Our tour guide was Tom, he was knowledgeable, entertaining and on time. We enjoyed the small family, owned wineries. They were personable and great. My daughter and I thought that the best part was being outdoors in the wine country and enjoying the scenery and the friendly people.

Our trip was awesome. Our tour guide was Dave and he was amazing. He called us the night before to ask what kind of wine we enjoyed so that we could have sure that we went to wineries that would meet our likings. He also took us to an olive oil tasting. On our eight mile ride he made sure to point out the different grapes, and inform us on the variety. He really was amazing and I would tour with him again. The wineries and the Rout was great. We then had a wonderful lunch while looking at the beautiful scenery. I would definitely book this tour again. The best part about this tour was ridding by the vineyards, tasting the wine and the lovely picnic. I can’t wait to come back and try another tour with you guys!

Our tour guide was Tom, and he was great, experienced and knowledgeable about wine. Josh was new, and very nice as well. They were on time, as were we. We really liked Summers and the Lava winery where we ate lunch. I loved the lunch at Lava.

For this tour our tour guides were tom and josh and they both were really great! They were all ready setting up the bikes when we arrived 15 minutes early. Josh did an awesome job keeping the group together during the ride and Tom was fantastic with his overall knowledge, but especially with his wine wits He could tell me exactly what I was smelling and tasting even if I couldnt figure it out. The rout was great; challenging enough to get a little bit of a workout, but not so difficult we couldn’t walk the next day. All of the wineries were very nice. We thought that Lambert Bridge made for the perfect picnic spot and the other three gave us plenty of attention while tasting their wines. We thought it was an excellent value for the price. The best part about it was being outside and tasting all of the wines. Thanks for the fantastic 40th birthday celebration, especially for my birthday gift- Mo’s Dark Bacon Bar- It was delicious!

The tour was very entertaining! The rout was great, and I loved all of the wineries. Our booking experience was good as well. My favorite part was the wine tasting and friendly nature of our tour guides. Lunch was great, maybe could add a little sandwich.

We loved this trip. Our tour guide was Tom, and he was wonderful we would suggest him to all of our friends. The wineries were amazing, we bought a bottle from every location. We thought that this tour was a great value for the price and we would love to do the tour again. The online booking was easy, and then the confirmations were sent that next day. I like Tom and the wineries most about the tour, it was really great. We were in Calistoga for our honeymoon, and this bike tour was our favorite thing we did on your trip.

We went on the Calistoga Sip N Cycle. Our guides were awesome! Super knowledgeable and entertaining. I learned many valuable tidbits of info from them. They were funny, fun, and made the atmosphere fantastic. The route was gorgeous (although you probably don’t have many ugly parts to the Napa Valley). The level of difficulty was something anyone could do. The wineries that we visited were by far my favorite out of all of the wineries that we visited in Napa. This was my favorite tour of all the things we did in our week in the Napa Valley. I wish that we could have done all of the tours that you offer.
